Glide Community Guidelines
Effective Date: August 7, 2026 Last Updated: August 7, 2026
Glide is a place to train, track progress, and support other people doing the same. These Guidelines explain what’s expected of you here and what isn’t allowed.
These Guidelines are part of our Terms of Service and are binding. Violating them can result in content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent loss of your account — without refund.
If you see something that breaks these rules, report it. Every report is reviewed, and we act on violations within 24 hours.
The Short Version
Do: be encouraging, be honest about your own results, respect people’s privacy, and remember there’s a person behind every profile.
Don’t: harass anyone, post sexual content, sexualize anyone, promote disordered eating, sell drugs or steroids, give medical advice you’re not qualified to give, or post anything you wouldn’t want attached to your name.
1. Treat People With Respect
Glide is full of people at every stage — first week, tenth year, coming back from injury, coming back from a hard year. Assume good faith.
Not allowed:
- Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or targeting an individual
- Threats of violence or harm, against anyone
- Hate speech or slurs, or content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or veteran status
- Unwanted sexual attention, sexual comments about a person’s body, or persistent contact after someone has asked you to stop
- Body shaming, weight shaming, or mocking anyone’s appearance, fitness level, or progress
- Encouraging others to pile on, brigade, or harass someone
- Impersonating another person, a trainer, a medical professional, or Glide staff
If someone is bothering you: block them. Blocking stops their messages and hides your content from them. Then report them so we can review.
2. No Sexual Content
Glide is a fitness app, not a dating or adult platform.
Not allowed:
- Nudity, sexually explicit content, or pornography
- Sexually suggestive posing, framing, or captions
- Content that sexualizes any person, including yourself
- Sexual solicitation, propositions, or sexual messages to users who haven’t invited them
- Sexual content in profile photos, club banners, usernames, or bios
Progress photos are welcome — they’re a real part of tracking training. Keep them appropriate: normal athletic clothing, focused on physique or progress rather than sexual presentation. If the framing, pose, or caption reads as sexual rather than as documentation of training, it doesn’t belong here.
3. Absolute Prohibition on Content Involving Minors
Glide is for adults 18 and over. Anyone under 18 is prohibited from using Glide at all.
We have zero tolerance for:
- Any sexual or suggestive content involving a minor
- Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers a minor
- Attempts to contact, solicit, groom, or arrange contact with a minor
- Sharing images of minors in any context that could sexualize them
Accounts violating this are permanently banned immediately, and we report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and law enforcement as required by law. There is no appeal.
If you believe a user is under 18, report the account. If you encounter content involving a minor, report it immediately to support@getglideai.com.
4. Nothing That Promotes Self-Harm or Disordered Eating
This is a fitness community, which means we have a specific responsibility here.
Not allowed:
- Content promoting, glorifying, or providing instruction for anorexia, bulimia, purging, extreme restriction, fasting to unsafe extremes, or any eating disorder
- “Thinspiration,” “meanspo,” goal-weight content framed around disordered targets, or content mocking bodies to motivate restriction
- Promoting, encouraging, or instructing self-harm or suicide
- Sharing specific caloric intakes, weights, body fat percentages, or restriction methods framed as targets others should hit
- Content that shames people for eating, for rest days, or for weight gain
Talking honestly about recovery, struggle, or your own experience is welcome. The line is between sharing your experience and promoting the behavior to others.
If you’re struggling: the National Alliance for Eating Disorders helpline is 1-866-662-1235. If you’re in crisis, call or text 988. If you see someone in crisis on Glide, report the post — we’d rather review it than miss it.
5. Don’t Give Medical Advice
You can share what worked for you. You can’t tell someone what to do about their health.
Not allowed:
- Diagnosing anyone’s condition or injury
- Telling someone to stop, start, or change a medication
- Presenting yourself as a doctor, dietitian, physical therapist, or licensed professional if you aren’t one
- Claiming any protocol, supplement, or diet cures, treats, or prevents disease
- Advising someone to ignore or delay medical care
Say “this worked for me,” not “you should do this.” If someone describes symptoms, pain, or a medical situation, the right answer is to tell them to see a doctor.
6. No Drugs, Steroids, or Unlawful Substances
Not allowed:
- Selling, sourcing, trading, or offering to obtain anabolic steroids, SARMs, peptides, prescription drugs, or controlled substances
- Asking where to get them, or connecting people who sell them
- Dosing protocols, cycle guides, or administration instructions for controlled or prescription substances
- Promoting unapproved, illegal, or dangerous supplements
Discussing the existence of these substances, or the risks associated with them, is not itself a violation. Facilitating access to them is.
7. Respect Privacy
Not allowed:
- Posting anyone’s personal information without permission — full name, address, phone number, email, workplace, or location
- Sharing screenshots of private messages without the other person’s consent
- Posting photos or videos of people who didn’t agree to be posted, including gym bystanders
- Sharing someone else’s health, body, or medical information
- Using Glide to track, monitor, or stalk anyone
Before you post a photo taken in a gym, look at who’s in the background. Other people didn’t sign up to be in your content.
8. Be Honest
Not allowed:
- Faking workouts, activities, or metrics
- Manipulating leaderboards, streaks, or achievements through false data, multiple accounts, or exploits
- Spam, repetitive posting, or mass unsolicited messaging
- Scams, phishing, fraud, pyramid schemes, MLM recruiting, or fake giveaways
- Selling or promoting products, services, coaching, or programs without our permission
- Buying, selling, trading, or transferring accounts
- Bots, automation, scrapers, or unauthorized third-party clients
Manipulated leaderboard entries will be removed and may cost you your account.
9. Post Content You Have the Right to Post
Don’t post copyrighted material you don’t own — photos, videos, music, written programs, or training content taken from someone else. Don’t use another company’s trademarks or pass yourself off as affiliated with them.
Copyright complaints go to dmca@getglideai.com. See our Terms of Service for the full process.
10. Clubs
If you create or run a club, you’re responsible for what happens in it.
Club admins must: keep club content within these Guidelines, remove violating content and members, and not use clubs to organize harassment or evade bans.
Club names, descriptions, and banners are subject to every rule above — no sexual content, no hate speech, no impersonation, no trademark infringement.
We may rename, restrict, or dissolve any club that violates these Guidelines. Club admins are Glide users, not Glide employees, and their decisions are their own.
11. Direct Messages
The rules apply in DMs exactly as they do in public. Harassment, sexual content, solicitation, and scams are violations wherever they happen.
Direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted. We can access message content, and we will when investigating a report, complying with a legal obligation, or protecting someone’s safety.
If someone is messaging you in a way you don’t want: block them, then report.
Reporting and Enforcement
How to Report
- In the app: tap the ••• menu on any post, comment, message, profile, or club and choose Report
- By email: support@getglideai.com
- Urgent safety concerns — threats of violence, content involving a minor, or someone in immediate danger: email support@getglideai.com with “URGENT” in the subject line. If someone is in immediate physical danger, contact emergency services first.
Reports are confidential. The person you report is not told who reported them.
How to Block
Open the user’s profile or your message thread with them and select Block. Blocked users can’t message you, see your content, or interact with your posts. You can unblock at any time in Settings.
What We Do
We review every report and act on violations within 24 hours.
Depending on severity and history, we may: remove content, issue a warning, restrict features, temporarily suspend the account, or permanently terminate it. Severe violations — content involving minors, credible threats, sexual content, doxxing — result in immediate permanent removal without warning.
We may also preserve records and report to law enforcement where the law requires it or where someone’s safety is at risk.
Appeals
If you believe we made a mistake, email support@getglideai.com with your account email and what happened. We’ll review it. Bans for content involving minors are not appealable.
Our Discretion
We enforce these Guidelines as consistently as we can, but we can’t catch everything, and context matters. We reserve the right to remove content or accounts we find objectionable even where these Guidelines don’t spell out the specific situation. Not enforcing a rule in one instance doesn’t waive our right to enforce it in another.
Changes
We may update these Guidelines as Glide grows and as new situations come up. Material changes will be announced in the app.
